Shihan Monica Couto is an example to all in the art of Jiu Jitsu, she has proved through her commitment and dedication that she can not only compete with the male dominated, hands on styles of martial arts, but that she can also succeed as a respected teacher. She has travelled to England for intensive training under the supervision of Soke Bryan Cheek 10th Dan and she is now fully dedicated to the art of Jukoshin ryu Jiu Jitsu. Shihan Couto is the only official Jukoshin ryu representative for Portugal and she is responsible for all events using this name! She has several Dojos in the Lisbon area where she teaches both adults and children. A hard working martial artist working to spread the Jukoshin ryu Jiu Jitsu system around the world.
