| Renshi Anthony
Robson has been involved with martial arts for over 32 years.
He began his martial arts training in 1973 in Newcastle upon
Tyne, England studying Kodokan Judo under
Sensei’s John Gallon and John Hudd gaining his Shodan (Black Belt) in
1981.
During
1983–1988 while travelling around the UK he studied various martial
arts such as Shotokan Karate, Wing Chung, Kick Boxing, Boxing and
Judo.
But it was In 1988 he was
lucky enough to meet an instructor by the name of Brian Cheek at one
of his London based Dojo’s. He has now been training under the
direction of Soke Bryan Cheek for the past 16 years and holds a 4th
degree black belt in the martial art of Jiu-jitsu, he has recently
been honoured by the technical board of Jukoshin Ryu International and
Soke Brian Cheek with the title of Renshi.
Through out his Martial Arts career he has been
attending
seminars across the UK and around the world as both Student and
Instructor, and at the 2003 World Elite Black Belt Society World
congress held in Ottawa Canada was offered and accepted the role of
Technical Director for Jukoshin Ryu England.
In 2005
Renshi Robson was the first person to be promoted to 5th Dan Black
Belt by the newly formed
Jukoshin Ryu World Grading Panel,
Renshi Robson has also now accepted a position on the Grading Panel.
Renshi
Robson runs a Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defence club in central London, and
is in the process of opening a new club in Bexleyheath as well as
teaching in several dojo's around London.
